Webinar - ALOA 2022
Every Church Can Become a Center of Long Life Learning and Faith Formation
We’ve become a society of lifelong learners with adults 60 and over engaged in all types of educational activities both formal and informal. For example, Road Scholar offers 5,500 learning adventures, serving more than 100,000 adults 60 and over annually with a wide range of topics, formats and locations. Christian churches often have a majority of their members 60 and over. So why aren’t churches leading the way as centers of long life learning and faith formation? It’s time for churches to act! This presentation will present approaches, examples, and resources for addressing the spiritual and religious needs of adults 60 and over, and engaging them in meaningful, faith forming experiences that are easy to access and designed in multiple formats.
