The Intergenerational Faith website provides dozens of learning programs on a variety of faith themes for churches to use in intergenerational and family faith formation programming. All churches have permission to download, print, and adapt the materials for their use. The learning session comes in a PDF and a Word file; handouts are in Word files.
Learning Programs Designed for Intergenerational & Family Faith Formation
All Resources Are Free for Church Use
In the early 2000s I worked with my colleagues Mariette Martineau, Leif Kehrwald, and Joan Weber to develop a model of intergenerational learning that could be used for all ages (intergenerational) and family faith formation. (The process is described more fully in the book Intergenerational Faith Formation by Mariette Martineau, Leif Kehrwald, and Joan Weber. Twenty-Third Publications, 2008).
The four of us worked together to create dozens of intergenerational learning programs on a variety of faith themes for churches to use in intergenerational and family faith formation programming. These newly revised programs are now available for free on the Intergenerational Faith website. See the listing of the sessions below.
The learning model used in each program incorporates the following activities:
All churches have permission to download, print, and adapt the materials for their use. Permission is given to use these materials in print and digital formats (websites, newsletters, social media) for educational purposes only. The learning session comes in a PDF and a Word file; handouts are in Word files. Use the Word files to adapt the materials for your use.

The learning model used in each program incorporates the following activities:
- All-Ages Learning Experience for the whole assembly that introduces the theme or topic.
- In-Depth Learning Experiences that probe the theme or topic, organized for all ages (intergenerational) or for specific age-groups (families with childrenor children-only, adolescents, young adults, and adults), and conducted in one of three formats: whole group, age group, and learning activity centers.
- Interactive Sharing in which people reflect upon the learning experience, share their insights with each other, prepare for living their faith at home and in daily life.
