Beginning with the Spring 2012 issue (Volume #6), our sixth year of publication, Lifelong Faith will become a digital journal. The new digital Lifelong Faith journal will still provide the same great content—the best thinking and practice in faith formation across the whole life span. Each quarterly issue will continue to focus on a particular aspect of lifelong faith formation and include major articles by national experts, book reviews, and practical strategies and program models.

Now we will be able to add exciting new digital features including embedded media, extended content and practices, and links to online resource centers. The digital Lifelong Faith will be in an enhanced PDF format that will allow for easy reading, viewing media, linking to online content, and printing articles. The Faith Formation in Christian Practices Project empowers and equips, encourages and supports individuals and households at each stage of the life cycle to integrate Christian practices into everyday life, so that they become an integral way of life for people today. “Christian practices are shared patterns of activity in and through which life together takes shape over time in response to and in the light of God as known in Jesus Christ. Woven together, they form a way of life” (Dorothy Bass). The Project is designed to help congregations develop a Christian practices approach to faith formation, guided by the understanding of Christian practices developed in Practicing Our Faith (edited by Dorothy Bass and Craig Dykstra, Jossey-Bass, 2010 revised edition). Two publications have been produced, Living Well: Christian Practices for Everyday Life (for individuals and families) and the Living Well Children's Workbook, as well as online learning activities and study guides for each of the twelve Christian practices in the Living Well book.
